Co-Owner, Brass Bed, Inc.

Lynette Mantooth has over 18 years experience in Home Furnishings and Design. Her many years of buying trips throughout the world's premier markets have created an invaluable bank of knowledge that she brings to the shop everyday. She has created rooms of distinction for many of the area's most celebrated homes. Her selection of the finest merchandise from around the world is unmatched and unforgettable.

Her ability to assemble the very best selection of fabrics, textures and color has firmly established Brass Bed as one of the most successful specialty shops in the United States. Together, she and husband Larry, founder and chairman of the board, offer their customers the ultimate shopping experience for home furnishings.

Fran R. Morris
Interior Design

Fran R. Morris is a native of Atlanta, Georgia.  She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design from Auburn University.  After her interior design internship in Nashville, TN, and graduation from Auburn, she moved to Birmingham to pursue her niche in interior design.  She found that opportunity at "The Brass Bed," a place that allows her to assist people in fulfilling their decorating dreams.  Fran believes that "there is nothing more rewarding than successfully completing a space that satisfies the client's needs and unique desires."  She captures the spirit of the interior by creating a warm and inviting atmosphere with distinctive details that set her style.

Ansley E. Shackelford
Interior Design

Ansley Shackelford is a native of Brandenton, Florida, and holds a Bachelors of Education Degree in Interior Design and Art History from Samford University. She has designed custom furniture, millwork, lighting and drapery, for residential and commercial design in the Birmingham area. Ansley's design philosophy: "I design so that my work is distinct, subtle and balanced, to create a harmonious environment in every room of a home." Ansley has experience in managment in classic modern to transitional retail stores throughout Birmingham. "I understand the clients need to relect their own personality throughout their home, to make it feel like they personally designed every corner of their residence."
